"Mate, I get all my work through word of mouth. Why would I need a website?"
I hear this a lot from tradies. And fair enough, if the phone's ringing, why fix what isn't broken?
Here's the thing word of mouth doesn't tell you: what happens after someone hears your name.
Say your mate recommends you to his neighbour. Great. What does that neighbour do next? Nine times out of ten, they Google you. "[Your name] plumber Adelaide."
And one of two things happens:
You didn't lose that job because you're not good at what you do. You lost it because you were invisible at the exact moment someone was ready to hire you.
A website doesn't replace word of mouth. It amplifies it. Every recommendation now lands somewhere solid instead of trailing off into a Google search that turns up nothing.
Think of it as the difference between someone saying "call this guy" and someone saying "call this guy, here, I'll text you his website." One of those closes the deal.
Doesn't matter. That's my job, not yours. You don't need to touch code, wrestle with hosting, or learn anything. You tell me about your business, I build the site, it goes live. Need your hours changed or a new photo added? Send it through, I sort it.
You don't need anything fancy. You need:
That's it. Five things, done well. No blog, no shop, no faff.
Do you need a website? If you never want to grow, and you're happy relying on the same handful of referrals forever, maybe not.
But if you want the referrals you already get to convert more often, and you want to catch the people searching for your trade right now, then yes. And it costs a lot less than the jobs you're quietly missing.
Curious what yours would look like? Book a chat and I'll build you a demo. Like it, we roll on. If not, adios, no hard feelings.
